Fred Bear Compound Bows Review
The Fred Bear compound bows are one among the best available in the market and they are cheaper too when compared to its competitors. Since its inception during the depression, Fred Bear has come a long way by recreating its products with newly patented parts and innovations.
The Lights Out compound bow from the Fred Bear lineage is the lightest and shortest of the Bear bows, exclusively designed for professional compound bow hunters and enthusiasts. It is light in weight with 3.7 pounds of mass weight, a weight range of seventy to ninety pounds with increments of ten for peak draw, an eighty percent let-off and 30 inches of length from one axle to the other.
The Lights Out features a single cam system that is Perimeter-weighted Modular and the speed of the arrows ranges from 296-300 fps IBO. The installed cam system provides a quiet and smooth draw with a potent release, where it silently rotates on a bearing of stainless steel. This minimizes cable friction owing to the asymmetric power track. Ultimately, all of this increases the cable life and enhances the performance too.
The limbs of the Fred Bear Lights Out offer stability, smooth release of energy and a balanced stress distribution, which is capable of providing maximum arrow power. This exclusive limb design is courtesy of the Compression molded Flare Quad Limbs from Fred Bear. Also, there is reduction of vibration and noise with the help of an enhanced string suppressor and Bear's very own pivoting limb cups of aluminum.
Furthermore, the reduced vibration is even more minimized due to the presence of a 2 piece synthetic grip which gives comfort and warmth, while being suitable for hunting during the cold season too. And the aluminum riser that is machined with minimum reflex and 8.75" brace keeps up the accurate delivery of this compund bow in every aim fired and gives maximum forgiveness.
